What You Learn

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom ) to understand basic principles of scuba diving

  • Confined Open Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills

  • Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!

Prerequisite:

  • 12 Years Old for Eilat and 10 Years Old for Taba

  • Be medically fit and if there is any medical problem, a diving physician approval in writing is required

 

What to bring:

  • Positive Attitude

  • Laptop or smart phone if you want extra study materials (PADI Open Water Diver Touch)

 

Tentative Schedule:

  1. Sunday

    • Morning: Orientation, Paperwork and first Knowledge lesson (Chapter 1 video, Knowledge Review and Quiz)

    • Afternoon: Equipment lesson and preparation with first confined session afterwards

  2. Monday​

    • Morning: Second and Third Confined sessions with small break in between​​

    • Afternoon: Knowledge lesson with Chapters 2 and 3 videos, knowledge development and quizes

  3. Tuesday​

    • Morning: First and Second Open Water Dives with small break in between​​

    • Afternoon: Knowledge lesson with Chapters 4 and 5 videos, knowledge development, quiz and final exam

  4. Wednesday​

    • Morning: Third and Fourth Open Water Dives with small break in between​​​​

    • Afternoon: Enriched Air Nitrox lesson

  5. Thursday​

    • Morning: Fifth and Sixth Open Water Dives with small break in between​​​​

What you are allowed to do after: As a certified Open Water Diver, you are allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters with a buddy or do shore/boat guided dives.
